November 30 – December 1, 2021 Public Meeting

The 18th PACCARB virtual public meeting was focused on global efforts to combat AMR, including updates from the Global Leaders Group (GLG) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The first day also included a presentation from the National Academies on their recent report titled “Examining the Long-term Health and Economic Effects of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in the United States”. The second day included presentations focused on addressing AMR within pandemic preparedness planning, including strengthening public health and agriculture systems, ensuring situational awareness, and transforming medical defenses.
