Current Students
The Internship Program provides current students with the opportunity to explore federal careers and work in agencies while still at school. Students currently enrolled in an accredited high school, college (including a 4-year college/university, community college, or junior college), trade school, or other qualifying educational institution are eligible to apply.
Recent Graduates
The Recent Graduates Program is designed for individuals who have graduated from a qualifying institution or certificate program within the past 2 years. Successful applicants are placed in a dynamic developmental program with the potential to begin a civil service career in the federal government.
This program offers recent graduates unique training and development opportunities, including mentorship and an Individual Development Plan to create and track their career planning, professional development, and training activities.
Presidential Management Fellows (PMFs)
The PMF Program is a flagship leadership development program for advanced degree candidates. Qualified candidates must have completed a qualifying advanced degree (e.g., master’s or professional degree) or be close to graduation. The PMF Program offers fellows training and development opportunities, including senior-level mentorship and developmental opportunities within the PMF’s occupation or function discipline. This program is managed centrally by the PMF Program Office with the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Individuals who successfully complete one of the Pathways Programs may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a term or a permanent position in the federal civil service. For more information about Pathways Programs at OASH, please contact: Tawanna.Currie@hhs.gov
