The National Institute for Animal Agriculture is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing programs to work towards providing solutions for disease, while promoting a safe and wholesome food supply and the best practices of environmental stewardship, animal health and well-being.

As a Board-Certified Large Animal Internal Medicine Specialist and MBA, Dr. Pantaleon has been involved in different aspects of veterinary medicine with a major focus on One Health issues. Completing an MBA allowed him to learn and broaden his managerial, financial and leadership skills. He relishes blending science and business, along with dynamism and adapting to challenges that every new day brings. Dr. Pantaleon’s professional path from equine specialty clinical practice to advisory work and back to small animal clinical practice has been career enlightening. He has learned how different markets in the animal health industry function, what their needs are and how to best provide value. As a member of the Board of Directors for the National Institute of Animal Agriculture (NIAA) Dr. Pantaleon is involved in working with a team of industry leaders on topics that are fundamental to the sector, such as antibiotic resistance, antibiotic use, antibiotic stewardship, and communication with stakeholders. He has participated in many of the Antibiotic Symposiums organized by NIAA where leaders from different sectors, using a One Health approach, meet to discuss and exchange ideas on the importance of antimicrobial resistance and how progress can be made. What he enjoys most is blending ideas from different animal health sectors and human health care, as well as scientific and business concepts to raise awareness for topics that he believes are fundamental in providing the best patient care or improving population health.
