Share your ideas and stories

White House official stamp.

It will take all of us to end hunger and reduce diet-related diseases and the disparities surrounding them. Over the past several months, the Biden-Harris Administration has heard ideas and stories from all Americans on how to end hunger and reduce diet-related diseases and disparities. We heard from anti-hunger and nutrition advocates, food companies, the health care community, and local, state, territory, and Tribal governments. We also heard from those who’ve experienced the impact of hunger, heart disease, or hypertension first-hand. We welcome you to continue sharing your ideas and experiences to help inform a national strategy that will be announced at the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health in September 2022.

Partner-Led Convenings

Are you interested in leading a conversation? We consider each of you to be a partner in this work, so we invite you to host your own convening. For example, a local food policy council can host a convening with its members, a community-based organization can host a convening with its volunteers, or a Member of Congress can host a convening with his/her constituents. We encourage you to engage people who have experience with hunger and/or diet-related disease.

We created a toolkit to help you host your convening. The toolkit provides instructions for submitting the collective input from your discussion. All of the input provided by July 15 will directly inform the national strategy to be released at the Conference. We encourage partners to continue submitting ideas past July 15 as well. You can email feedback from your convening to WHHungerHealth@hhs.gov  with the subject title: Partner-led Convening Information
