Register today to join the President’s Council at September’s One Lacrosse Gathering!

On Saturday, September 7, the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition (PCSFN), along with the National Fitness Foundation, will co-host the One Lacrosse Gathering Celebration on the JFK Hockey Fields on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The one-day event, spearheaded by PCSFN member and Osage Nation tribal member Ben Jacobs, will honor the sport of lacrosse by highlighting the game’s origins in America’s Native communities. While lacrosse’s popularity has exploded worldwide, its foundational principles – including respect, endurance, teamwork, and inclusivity – remain the same no matter where it’s played.

Honored guests will include representatives from Tribal communities throughout the United States, as well as professional athletes who will teach attendees about the game through conversations and hands-on skills clinics. While there will be plenty of physical activity, the event will also spotlight nutrition and culture with opportunities to learn more about Indigenous foods and ingredients at the Native Health Hub.

The event is free to the public. Find more information at www.onelacrossegathering.com
