Two New Co-Chairs of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition Sworn in

This past week, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra had the pleasure of swearing in two new co-chairs of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition (PCSFN).

Culinary Innovator, educator, and humanitarian José Andrés and WNBA Player and Olympic Gold Medalist Elena Delle Donne were both appointed this spring by the President to two-year terms. This past week, they took the oath of their office in a small ceremony at HHS headquarters in Washington, DC.

Since 1956, PCSFN has played an important role in educating Americans about the benefits of physical activity and healthy eating. Through partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors, the Council promotes programs and initiatives that motivate people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to lead active, healthy lives. With their recent swearing in, Ms. Delle Donne and Chef Andrés can begin their work in fostering greater awareness of the benefits of health and well-being for people around the country.
