The Federal Plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience (Federal Plan for ELTRR) was developed by the ELTRR Interagency Workgroup with active, sustained, and consistent engagement. The interagency body was formed in early 2020 in response to a specific objective in the federal government’s joint COVID-19 response.

Senior career professionals from over 35 federal departments and agencies collaborated to develop the Plan. The number of departments and agencies engaged in the workgroup continues to grow.

The Federal Plan for Equitable Long-Term Recovery and Resilience (Federal Plan for ELTRR) builds upon complementary cross-sector efforts and supports continued collective action.

President Biden set a goal of ending hunger and increasing healthy eating and physical activity by 2030 so fewer Americans experience diet-related diseases — all while reducing health disparities. On September 28, 2022, the Administration hosted a White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health to inspire collective, sustained action and mobilization across every segment of society.
