ODPHP Announces Agenda and Speakers for the 2024 National Healthy Aging Symposium

We’re less than one month away from the 2024 National Healthy Aging Symposium hosted by ODPHP and Trust for America’s Health. During this free, half-day event on September 26, attendees will hear from policymakers, researchers, and professionals from across sectors about successful innovations that improve older adult health and well-being in communities around the country. The full agenda is now available.

The symposium will feature prominent speakers addressing important issues facing older adults. Attendees will hear from:

  • Admiral Rachel Levine, MD, Assistant Secretary for Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 
  • Alison Barkoff, Performing the duties of the ACL Administrator and Assistant Secretary for Aging, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 

Following the keynotes, attendees can join the Innovations in Aging and Health Equity plenary, which will highlight cutting-edge technologies, impactful philanthropic initiatives, effective government policies, and culturally appropriate strategies to improve the health and well-being of older adults. Panelists include:

  • Kari Benson, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Aging, Administration for Community Living, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services 
  • Steve Ewell, Executive Director, Consumer Technology Association (CTA) Foundation
  • Lindsay Goldman, LMSW, Chief Executive Officer, Grantmakers in Aging
  • Vijeth Iyengar, PhD, Director of Global Aging, AARP
