Public Listening Sessions for the National Public Health Strategy to Prevent and Control Vector Borne Diseases in People

Vector-Borne Disease National Strategy Request for Information (RFI) Tribal Listening and Engagement Session.

As part of the ongoing public engagement series for the National Public Health Strategy to Prevent and Control Vector-Borne Diseases in People, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) hosted a Tribal Listening Session on December 9, 2022, that included 49 participants from 26 Nations and organizations. Participants provided feedback on the draft National Strategy with discussion on how its goals and strategic priorities address the most pressing vector-borne disease concerns for tribal communities. Discussion included ideas for strengthening partnerships to implement effective solutions for American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Tribal communities.
