Summary
Secondhand smoke causes a range of serious health problems, including stroke, heart disease, and sudden infant death syndrome. In addition to reducing secondhand smoke exposure, smoke-free policies improve indoor air quality, help people quit smoking, and help prevent smoking initiation in adolescents.
