Summary

Many injury-related deaths are due to traumatic brain injuries (TBIs). TBIs can be caused by falls, motor vehicle crashes, intentional self-harm, and other preventable events. Interventions that reduce falls, increase seat belt use, and get more bicycle riders to wear helmets can help reduce TBIs and related deaths.
