The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends using client or family incentive rewards to increase vaccination rates in children and adults. In these interventions, people may get rewards for:

  • Getting a vaccine
  • Returning for a vaccination series
  • Bringing proof of vaccination

CPSTF noted that rewards may be monetary or non-monetary and that they’re usually small — like gift cards and baby products.
