Thanks to vaccines, rates of many serious diseases have decreased dramatically in recent decades. But some children still don’t get any vaccines by age 2 years, and outbreaks of measles, mumps, and pertussis still happen in the United States. Strategies to address parents’ concerns about vaccines may help reduce the proportion of children who don’t get vaccinated.
