The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends individually adapted health behavior change programs to increase physical activity and improve physical fitness. These programs teach skills like goal-setting and structured problem-solving to help people make physical activity part of their daily routines. The programs are tailored to meet people’s needs. CPSTF found that individually adapted health behavior change programs increase physical activity and improve physical fitness in adults and children.
