The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends school-based instructional programs to reduce riding with drunk drivers. These programs sometimes address only the problems of drunk driving and riding with drunk drivers alone but can have a broader focus on alcohol or other substance use. CPSTF found insufficient evidence about whether these programs reduce drunk driving or alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes.
