TOOLKIT: World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day on December 1 is a global initiative to raise awareness, fight prejudice, and improve education about HIV. In the United States, about 37,600 people get infected with HIV every year. It’s important that everyone ages 15 to 65 gets tested for HIV at least once. Some people may need to get tested more often.

We can use World AIDS Day to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, encourage people to get tested, and take action to support people living with HIV.

With this and other National Health Observance toolkits offered on MyHealthfinder, we’ve made it easier for you to make a difference. The toolkits provide resources for organizations like schools, health care providers, health departments, and more to raise awareness about critical public health issues, like the importance of getting tested for HIV.

This toolkit is full of ideas to help you take action today. For example:

By raising awareness about the importance of HIV testing, we can all work together to help people protect themselves and their partners.
