Obesity in Children and Adolescents: Screening

The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends screening for obesity in children and adolescents age 6 years or older. USPSTF also recommends that health care providers offer these patients comprehensive, intensive behavioral interventions that promote weight loss — or refer them to these types of interventions.
