Notes from the Field: Pediatric Emergency Department Visits for Buprenorphine/Naloxone Ingestion

This report presents information and data on pediatric emergency department visits for children who ingested buprenorphine/naloxone. Because of young children’s unsupervised ingestion of these medicines, in 2010-2011, buprenorphine/ naloxone was the most common cause of children’s hospitalization for medication ingestion.
