Interventions to increase influenza vaccination rates of those 60 years and older in the community

About this resource:

Systematic Review

Source: The Cochrane Collaborative

Last Reviewed: May 2018

In this Cochrane systematic review, researchers studied the effectiveness of provider, system, and societal interventions to increase the uptake of influenza (flu) vaccination in people age 60 years and older in the community.

Researchers identified interventions that demonstrated significant positive effects of low (postcards), medium (personalized phone calls), and high (home visits, outreach through facilitators) intensity. These interventions can help increase community demand for vaccination, enhance access, and improve provider/system response.
