The Community Preventive Services Task Force (CPSTF) recommends multicomponent interventions to increase screening for cervical cancer with a Pap test. These interventions combine at least 2 intervention approaches reviewed by CPSTF or at least 2 interventions to reduce structural barriers. CPSTF found that interventions combining strategies to increase demand for and access to screening have greater effects and that the most effective interventions also increase provider delivery of screening services.
