The Community Preventive Services Task Force recommends group education to increase breast cancer screening. In these interventions, health care workers, other health professionals, lay health advisors, and volunteers give groups of people information about the need for screening. The interventions also include information on the benefits of screening and ways to overcome barriers. Educators use presentations or other teaching aids, may use an interactive format, and often use role modeling.
