The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is soliciting written comments on the proposed objectives for Healthy People 2030. The public comment period will be open from December 3, 2018 through January 17, 2019. You are invited to review and comment on the proposed objectives, and you may also propose additional objectives for consideration.
In response to stakeholder input, Healthy People 2030 will be a streamlined set of national health objectives guiding the Nation in efforts to improve health. While this translates to a smaller set of objectives, Heathy People 2030 will continue to represent critical public health priorities by addressing the leading causes of morbidity and mortality and driving action at the national, state, and local levels.
Public comment is an essential part of developing Healthy People. Previous public comments on the Healthy People 2030 framework helped shape the mission, vision, and goals of Healthy People 2030. Members of the public — both individuals and organizations — are now invited to review and submit comments on the proposed Healthy People 2030 objectives from December 3, 2018 to January 17, 2019.
Let’s work together as a Nation to build Healthy People 2030! Learn more about the proposed objectives and see how to review and submit your comments.
