Coming Soon: Opportunity to Provide Input on the Draft National Youth Sports Strategy

A draft of the National Youth Sports Strategy will soon be available to review and provide public comment.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health is developing a national strategy to expand children’s participation in sports by focusing on the following priority areas:

  • Increasing awareness of the benefits of youth sports participation;
  • Promoting private and public strategies or programs to promote youth sports participation;
  • Developing metrics; and
  • Recruiting volunteers.

Once the draft is made available, public comments will be accepted for approximately 2 weeks.
