The Community Preventive Services Task Force found insufficient evidence to determine if school-based social norming campaigns reduce drunk driving. These campaigns are multiyear public information programs on college campuses that aim to reduce alcohol use. The campaigns share objective normative information about students’ alcohol use to reduce misperceptions and change students’ behavior.
