In this Cochrane systemic review, the Cochrane Collaborative found that further evaluations of measures to reduce outdoor air pollution are needed. They evaluated studies across high-income countries (HIC) and low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). The differences in the studies and a focus on HIC made it difficult to draw general conclusions about whether the measures worked. Future evaluations should apply more reliable and standardized methods and include more LMIC.
