Reducing Food Waste: Recommendations to the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory CommitteeAs per public comment request 5-2 on food system sustainability, graduate student researchers at Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy have prepared a comment summarizing the extent of food waste in the United States and its impact on food safety perceptions, environmental resources, and household food security.
