This graph shows the curvilinear relationship between dietary cholesterol and serum cholesterol concentration. The relationship is quasilinear with cholesterol intake of 0 to 300 to 400 mg per day. The effect of dietary cholesterol on serum cholesterol levels appears to diminish with increasing baseline dietary cholesterol intake. Dietary cholesterol ranged from 0 to 4,500 mg/day.
