Abstract

Founded by Father Edward Flanagan in 1917, Boys Town is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization that offers children and families services in their own homes as well as outside services to children with special treatment needs. Boys Town works with communities and schools in order to meet the growing and more diverse needs of today’s children and families. The Boys Town National Hotline is open 24/7 and offers teens, parents, and families help with depression, stress, peer pressure, suicidal thoughts, parenting problems, runaways, relationship issues, abuse, and much more. The Hotline also offers online support through YourLifeYourVoice.org, a web site tailored to specific needs of teens, and Parenting.org, which provides support and advice to parents.
