Abstract

The largest thoracic surgical organization in the world, STS has a membership of over 4,100 that include a significant majority of all board-certified thoracic surgeons in the United States and Canada. The Society is directly involved in issues of concern to all thoracic surgeons. Membership in STS offers a number of benefits including: a newsletters from the Secretary of the Society covering the efforts of the Society's leadership on related issues; a complimentary subscription to the Society's monthly journal, The Annals of Thoracic Surgery; a personalized certificate of membership suitable for framing; and complimentary registration and discounts on travel to the Society's annual meeting.
