With more than 54,000 members, AHIMA is the leading organization in health information management. AHIMA has been representing and certifying medical record professionals since 1928. Our expertise includes patient medical records, computer-based patient records, clinical data management, and confidentiality of health information. In addition, AHIMA's Washington office specializes in healthcare reform and associated legislative issues. Chapters are located in all states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
