The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) was founded in 1957 as a society for health professionals interested in the clinical applications of hypnosis. ASCH conducts training workshops in hypnosis, holds scientific meetings, provides information to its members, publishes a journal and newsletter, and facilitates communication among professionals. The society will provide referrals to licensed professionals who use clinical hypnosis in their practices.
Publications
ASCH publishes pamphlets on hypnosis techniques and the uses of hypnosis in medicine, dentistry, and psychotherapy. Cassettes on hypnosis and hypnotherapy are available. Serial publications: American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis, quarterly--scientific papers, clinical reports, and book reviews, and abstracts; ASCH Newsletter, bimonthly--membership news and events.
