Abstract

Founded in 1974, the North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS) is a non-profit tax-exempt educational organization. NAVS provides a support network for its members, affiliated groups and vegetarians in general. It informs the public about how vegetarianism benefits humans, other animals and our shared earth. These goals are accomplished through many means, including the quarterly magazine, developing and distributing other publications, hosting conferences, advising the media and assisting individuals with inquiries.
